The prison sentence time machine

All eyes staring at screens, we’ve become the walking dead. 24/7 traffic. Campsites dwarfed by construction cranes. Violence and people violently resisting violence. Average citizens speaking in rhetoric, not sentences. Hate and now hiring signs. Uber and Lyft changing transportation, Tinder changing dating. While I was in prison our society changed profoundly. For me, there was nothing gradual about it. I feel like I stepped through a time machine into a parallel future, where Donald Trump is president and California is burning.
